MSN Emoticons Galore!

I think I've finally downloaded enough emoticons. There may still be a few things I'm feeling, like shock, or mock hurt, but you can't have everyting, right? So here they are, for everyone using MSN Messenger 6: all the emoticons I can handle. I don't think it's possible to use them all, but they're neat to look at, or something.

If you think you want more our of your MSN experience, check out some of these sites:

EE email (now imap.ece.ualberta.ca)

If you're having trouble seeing anything but your new messages because you use pine, I've discovered a solution! Actually, it was Wade who told me. The problem is a file called mbox. Get rid of that, and all your problems are solved!

try this in your home directory:
user@itanium ~]$ cp mbox mail/old_mbox
user@itanium ~]$ mv mbox mbox_disabled

That should do it. When you check your mail with pine next, there will only be new messages since you removed the mbox. Your old inbox can be accessed through pine's folder system.

New Job

Today, I started working for my old high school science teacher. I guess for most people this would have been junior high, but the Catholic schools go K to 7, then 8 to 12. So I was here from grade 8 to 10, then changed schools. Being back here brings back memories I thought I'd lost... I tried to remembre where my locker was every year, but I can only remember two. I tried to figure out all the things that have changed. That's harder to do when no one is around, and everythings dark.

I got the job by being in the right place at the right time. I saw him in the Wal-mart while back home visiting my parents, and I was surprised enough that he remembered me, let alone offered me a job based on the fact that I have an electrical engineering degree. Of course, it meant that I've had to move home, but for $8/hour, I don't think I'd make it on my own. It's nice not having to save up for school, but I will have loans to pay off soon enough!

Testing out the New Blogger

Seems these things are all the rage these days! Even though some people do all the code themselves, I let blogger.com do mine! Thanks Blogger! :)

not working!

When you put a website that uses cascading style sheets online, you'd better put the .css up there too! or else your website looks like puke!
