The Leaky Faucet ...

I know it's been a while since I've last posted, so I'm doing it for the sake of having some content on this site for September.

I am back in Edmonton, living near the University, and working (part-time) at Bad Ass Jack's again. I've been fighting with my computer for 2 weeks now, trying to install Knoppix, Debian and finally SuSE. SuSE is the one that "works" now, but I use that term loosely. I tried to install Netscape 7.1, and it worked until I rebooted. Now it's nowhere to be found. I get so frustrated trying to get Linux working that I just give up and work in XP.

When I'm not working or fighting with the computer, I am looking for work and applying to whatever meager pickings I can find. Last week was the career fair. Depressing. But there were some information sessions, so that meant 3 nights of free pizza. A starving post-student can't pass up a deal like that.

And sometimes, when I was back at the Univeristy with "important" things to do, I felt good being there again. *sigh* It really is my home, and I just can't leave the first, and perhaps only, place I've finally felt like I belonged.

I have a few ideas for this site, but those are on hold while I set up my place, computer and work on the school division web pages. Maybe in a few months...
